Seongsu-dong is an area of Seoul we happened to explore this past long weekend known as the "Brooklyn of Seoul". While my friends and I didn't think this area was very much like Brooklyn, this coffee shop, however, was a pleasant surprise. We were drawn to this cafe by its unique name, and when we walked in, we immediately loved the vibe and atmosphere. The prices were also pretty reasonable (for Seoul) for how neat the coffee shop was. We ordered the iced Mint Mocha Latte (4800) and the iced Latte Macchiato (4300). The Mint Mocha Latte literally tasted like mint chocolate chip ice cream, it was delicious. The Latte Macchiato was good too, but didn't taste that different to me than a strong iced caffe latte. But, it was really good. My friend enjoyed the Dutch Coffee (4500). While he said it wasn't as good as his favorite dutch coffee in Seoul at the Pancake Epidemic, it was still great for the cheaper price. This cafe also serves bingsu. We didn't try it this time, but another table near us ordered two, and they looked awesome. Really though, we loved this cafe for the atmosphere. It was one of the best places I've found to chill, read, relax with friends, or get some work done. There was hardly anyone downstairs when we arrived and the room had lots of comfy chairs and pillows everywhere. Interestingly, there were also some artistic organ displays hanging on the wall. Not quite sure about those but they were kind of fun to look at. Finally, this coffee shop had some of the best music playing that we've heard in Seoul. So many coffee shops and restaurants just have the same Kpop music playing; it was nice to hear some actual good and varied music for a change. If you're looking for a place with a cool vibe and some delicious coffee in the eastern part of Seoul (near Ttukseom station), I highly recommend you come here!
